8 or 9 med. potatoes
Grated American or Cheddar cheese
Parmesan cheese
Butter
Salt and pepper
1 pt. whipping cream, unwhipped

Par-boil potatoes in jackets (approximately 15 minutes). Butter generously a glass baking dish (9 x 13 inch). Grate half the peeled potatoes into buttered dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese and Parmesan cheese. Dab with butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Repeat this process for another layer. Then, pour 1 pint whipping cream over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 10-12.
