TOFFEE PHE'S 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 large egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 (8.7 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate candy (6 bars)
1 c. peanut butter flavored pieces

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 15 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan; set aside. In large bowl of electric mixer, at high speed, beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and vanilla; beat until blended. At low speed, beat in flour. With spatula, spread mixture in prepared pan.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

Remove pan from oven. Immediately cover with chocolate candy; spread melted chocolate over dough. Sprinkle peanut butter pieces over chocolate. Swirl lightly into chocolate. Cut into bars while warm.

Makes 70 bars.
