1 1/2 c. white Lily flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. melted shortening or oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cold water

Sift dry ingredients into 9x9 inch pan. Mix well. Make 3 holes. Pour oil, vinegar and vanilla in separate holes. Pour water over all. Mix well with fork. Do Not Beat. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Leave in pan and frost while still warm.

WACKY CAKE FROSTING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 stick butter
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. coconut, optional
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, and cook on medium heat until thick. Add vanilla. Mix well. Spread on warm cake.
