SIMPLE BREAD PUDDING
1 stick butter
4 pieces of bread toasted
2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
White raisins

Melt butter in a 6 x 12 inch pyrex dish. Toast bread until brown on both sides. Break into rather large pieces in pyrex dish. Add white raisins, if desired. Scald milk and add to eggs that have been beaten with sugar. Add this mixture to the toast and butter. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Put all in a pan of boiling water and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. It's done when knife inserted comes out clean.

We have made a tradition of using the leftover communion bread for this dish and serving it at our Family Night Supper on the following Wednesday.
