KOLACHES 
6 c. flour
2 c. milk, scalded
3/4 c. sugar
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 sticks butter
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 pkg. yeast

Mix yeast in 1/2 cup warm milk (portion of scalded milk). Add egg yolks and remaining milk. Add melted butter, salt, vanilla and sugar; then add flour and mix well. Let rise until double (1-1 1/2 hours). Roll dough out on floured surface 1/2 inch thick and cut with round cookie cutter and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Let rise again until double (about 30 minutes). Punch down in centers of circles and add any type of fruit filling you wish. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
