"BUCKEYES" BY "KURSEBOOM" | |
2 sticks softened butter 1 (12 oz.) jar crunchy peanut butter 1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1/2 cake paraffin Mix thoroughly first 3 ingredients. Roll this mixture into balls the size of grapes and stick a toothpick into the top of each. Melt chocolate and paraffin in double boiler over hot water. Dip balls in melted chocolate and place on wax paper. Yield: approximately 100 to 130 calls. TIPS: 1. Use REAL chocolate chips. 2. Can use 1 stick butter and 1 stick butter. 3. Cover baking sheets or flat pans with wax paper. Place balls on them. Put in freezer until chilled. 4. Use about 15 round toothpicks (they are stronger than the flat ones). After you have dipped that amount you can remove the picks and use in the next 15, etc. 5. As you dip the balls in the chocolate, leave the center undipped, then when you remove the pick, there's your "Buckeyes". |
