SALISBURY STEAK 
1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 onion, sliced
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. cold water

Mix ground beef, crumbs, salt, pepper and eggs. Cook in skillet 10 minutes - drain.

Add onion, broth, mushrooms. Bring to boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes.

Remove patties and keep warm. Heat onion mixture to boil. Mix water and cornstarch and stir into onion mixture to make gravy. Serve over patties.
