DATE NUT BREAD 
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. golden raisins
1/2 lb. dates, pitted
18 prunes, pitted
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. boiling water
3 1/2 c. reg. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs or substitute
1 1/2 c. sugar (scant)

Boil water and add fruits (chopped). Bring to boil again and cool. Beat eggs, add sugar and vanilla. Sift salt and flour and alternate flour dates and nuts mixture. Bake in small oaf pans - greased and floured for about 1 hour at 275 degrees. Test with toothpick.
