CURRY BREAD 
2 pkg. yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. water (warm)
5 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 tbsp. curry powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sesame seeds
1/2 c. butter
2 lg. eggs (less 2 tbsp.)
2 c. milk, scalded
1/4 c. sesame seeds
2 tbsp. egg

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease and flour bread pans. In a cup combine the yeast, sugar and warm (not hot) water. Set to one side. (See yeast packet for instructions.)

Next, in large mixing bowl combine 4 cups flour (set aside 1 1/2 cups), sugar, curry powder, salt, 1/4 cup sesame seeds, butter, eggs, milk and the yeast that was set aside. As the mixture begins to get sticky begin to knead the bread with greased hands, add 1 cup flour at this time.

On wooden board sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup and continue to knead the bread until elastic. Let bread rise until doubled then knead again.

Divide into greased and floured pans, coat the tops of the loaves with the 2 tablespoons of beaten egg, sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup sesame seeds. Bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 2 loaves.
