GINGER COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
4 tbsp. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg; beat well. Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Mix well. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Dip one side in sugar. Do not flatten. Do not grease pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
