SYLVIA'S PORK CHOPS 
4 to 6 smoked pork chops, scored so they don't curl up
1 (15 oz.) can asparagus spears
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1/3 cup milk
1/2 (12 oz.) pkg. Dutch egg noodles
paprika, for sprinkling

Prepare noodles according to package directions. Spray or butter casserole dish.

Mix soup and milk. Layer in casserole dish: noodles and asparagus. Pour soup mixture them. Arrange pork chops on top. Sprinkle with paprika.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until internal temperature of chops reaches 160°F.

Variation: May substitute pork chops for ham steaks.

This recipe takes more time than 35 minutes, at least an hour in the oven. I cooked the dish uncovered after starting off covered. After 20 minutes chops were not cooking. Oven was pre-heated to 350°F.

Did you use smoked or regular pork chops? Makes a difference in cooking times.
