1 c. Crisco
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
Pinch of salt
1/4 c. buttermilk & 1 tsp. baking soda, mixed
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour, slightly heaping
2 c. dry oatmeal
1 c. raisins
1 c. chocolate chips, if desired

Cream Crisco, eggs and sugars together. Add buttermilk and soda. Add flour, salt and cinnamon. Then vanilla. Add oatmeal, raisins, chips (if desired) last. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown.
