EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK
COOKIES
 
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. coconut
1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg

Mix sugars and shortening until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs. Mix dry ingredients together, then add to shortening and sugar mixture. Slowly add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Spoon onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown.
