6 egg yolks 9 tbsp. sugar 6 tbsp. cream 2 tbsp. ground cardamom 2-3 c. sifted flour 2 tbsp. melted butter Pinch of salt Beat egg yolks until peaked and lemon colored. Add sugar. Then cream butter, salt and cardamom. Add flour gradually, mixing in last of it on lightly floured board. Knead in enough so that it is not sticky. Divide by thirds into small patties. Refrigerate overnight. Wrap in waxed paper. Roll out thin, cut and turn and fry in deep fat, 350-375 degrees. |
