RAISIN-FILLED CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES

1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. water
2 med.-sized eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. raisins
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, water and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer until creamy and thoroughly blended. With a spoon, stir in flour, baking soda and salt until well mixed. Stir in raisins and chocolate chips. Spoon dough by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Allow 1 to 1 1/2 inches between cookies for spreading. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until cookies are nicely browned, depending on how crisp or well done you like them.
