SLAW 
1 gal. shredded cabbage
1 lg. green pepper
2 lg. sweet onions, sliced thin

Shred cabbage in large bowl. Cut up green pepper over cabbage. Slice onion over green pepper.

DRESSING FOR SLAW:

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. salad oil
3/4 c. white vinegar
1 scant tbsp. salt

Boil for 2 minutes. Pour over cabbage while hot. Let stand 1 1/2 hours, do not stir. At the end of 1 1/2 hours mix thoroughly. Keep in refrigerator. Will keep for several weeks in tight container.
