1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. sugar
Salt to taste
2 eggs
1 to 1 1/2 c. milk
Shortening

Mix cornbread in a bowl. In a 9x9 inch baking pan, place shortening in and heat in oven while mixing cornbread up. When pan is hot and cornbread is mixed, put cornbread in pan. Bake 30-45 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. Cornbread will have a nice crust on bottom of cornbread. Double recipe makes 13x9 inch cornbread.
