SOUTHERN CORN BREAD 
1 c. flour
1 c. yellow cornmeal
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. oil

Preheat 2 tablespoons of oil in iron skillet. While skillet is heating, mix dry ingredients. Then add eggs, milk and oil. Blend until fairly smooth. Pour into warm skillet and cook for 30 minutes. Serve warm.
