SWEDISH MEAT BALLS | |
1/2 c. milk (or light cream) 2 eggs 1 c. cracker crumbs 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. minced onion 1 tsp. parsley flakes 1/2 tsp. Wyler's instant beef flavor bouillon 1 1/2 lb. hamburger Beat milk and eggs together. Add bread and cracker crumbs, salt, pepper, onion and parsley; mix well. Mix hamburger with beef bouillon. Add to above mixture. Make into desired size meat balls. Fry meat balls in oil or butter until browned well - or - put balls on an oiled cookie sheet and bake at 500 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove balls from skillet. Add water and 1/2 teaspoon of bouillon and very little thickening to make gravy. Put meat balls back into gravy and let simmer for 1/2 hour. |
