MAGGIE'S MEAT BALLS
4 lbs. lean ground beef
4 slices bread (I use crushed wheat bread)
1 c. milk
4 eggs
1 pkg. Lipton's onion soup mix

Break bread into pieces. Pour milk over bread; let soak about 5 minutes. Mix well so bread is crumbled into very small bits. Add eggs; beat well with slotted spoon or other mixing tool. Add onion soup mix; stir in well. Add ground beef; mix thoroughly. Form into balls (about 2 inches in diameter). Bake in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes. Remove from baking pan to slow cooker. Cover with gravy. Cook at slow setting 3 to 4 hours. (It takes approximately 4 cups of gravy which can be leftover gravy from a roast, package gravy - onion or brown - or a mixture of both.)
