Saucijzenbroodje (PIG IN THE
BLANKET)
 
4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 scant c. lard
Milk, enough to make a soft dough
3 lb. lean ground pork
Salt
Pepper
Sage, if desired
4 rusk, rolled fine

Mix the first 5 ingredients and roll the dough into pie crust thickness. Add seasonings and rusk to meat. Mix well and shape into rolls the desired size. Put meat roll on dough and fold over ends of dough. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until outside is nicely browned.
