SPUDNUTS 
3 potatoes, mashed
1 quart cold milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
4 yeast cakes
1/2 c. melted butter (or 1 stick butter)
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Flour to handle (sticky)

Combine all these ingredients. Mix in flour and let stand 10 minutes. Don't make batter too stiff. Roll and cut donuts and let raise on well floured board. Deep fry. Dip in glaze of powdered sugar and water.
