MINESTRONE MAIN DISH SOUP 
3-4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
2 lg. cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. basil leaves
1 can beef broth
1 can bean with bacon soup
1 1/2 cans water
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
1/2 c. ditalini (salad) macaroni
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cabbage, cut in long, thin shreds
1 c. cubed zucchini

Brown bacon, remove and cook onion, celery, garlic and basil until tender. Add all ingredients except cabbage and zucchini and bring to a boil. Then simmer for 15 minutes. Add cabbage and zucchini and simmer 10 minutes more or until done.
