SWEET SOUR SHANKS 
2 (1 lb.) round steaks
3 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 c. hot water
1/2 bay leaf
1/3 c. ketchup
1/4 c. vinegar
3 tbsp. brown sugar

Cut steak into small rectangular cubes and roll in flour mixed with salt and pepper. Brown in hot fat. Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat until tender, about 2 1/2 hours. Serves 4. Serve over Minute Rice.
