FRESH BERRY PIE 
1 qt. berries
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 baked pie shell

Wash, drain, hull berries. Simmer 1 cup berries and 2/3 cup water about 3 minutes. Blend sugar, cornstarch and remaining 1/3 cup water; add to boiling mixture. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Spread cream cheese over bottom of cooled pie shell. Save out 1/2 cup choice berries, put remaining berries in prepared pie shell. Cover with cooked mixture and garnish with 1/2 cup berries. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
