STRAWBERRY BARS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. fresh sliced strawberries

Combine flour and sugar, cut in butter until fine. Press 1 1/3 cups of mixture in bottom of ungreased 8-inch square pan. Combine remaining crumbs, sour cream, egg, soda, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Blend well. Stir in strawberries. Spoon over crust, spreading evenly.

Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes. Cool. Cut into 2 x 2 1/2-inch bars. Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.

Yields 1 dozen.
