HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
2 lb. hash browns (Southern Style)
8 oz. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 onion, chopped
9 slices American cheese
1 1/2 sticks of butter
2 c. crushed corn flakes

Heat sour cream, soup, cheese, and 3/4 stick of butter in saucepan until melted; add onions. Place frozen hash browns in a 9 x 13 pan. Pour melted mixture over hash browns. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover with corn flakes. Drizzle 3/4 stick butter over.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. This recipe can be prepared ahead just leave cornflakes off until ready to cook.
