1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 c. uncooked converted style rice Water 1/3 c. chopped onion 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. vegetable oil Cooked peas for garnish In large bowl, combine beef, rice, 1/2 cup water, the onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well blended. Mold 1/4 cup of beef mixture into cone-shaped serving, set aside. In medium bowl, combine tomato sauce and Worcestershire; set aside. In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned, about 4 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon. Drain. Pour sauce mixture over all. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, approximately 45 minutes. Garnish with peas. |
