SNOW BALLS 
2 sticks butter or 1 c.
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. finely chopped nuts

Cream butter, add sugar gradually, cream well until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Sift dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture. Add nuts. Chill several hours. Roll into small balls. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Roll at once in powdered sugar and roll again when cool.
