WHERE'S THE BEEF PIE | |
1 can Loma Linda vegeburger 3/4 c. granburger 3/4 c. chopped onion 3/4 c. chopped green pepper 3/4 c. chopped celery 8-10 cloves chopped garlic 1 pie crust 1 c. sliced mushrooms 1 (8 oz.) can cut green beans 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce Soy cheese is preferable. Soak granburger in 2 cups of water. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large frying pan, saute onion, green pepper, celery, mushrooms and garlic. Stir in tomato sauce, green beans, vegeburger and salt. Stir in granburger. Simmer while preparing crust. Press pie crust into pie pan. Combine egg and 1 cup of cheese; spread over crust. Spoon hot mixture into crust and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees. |
