ONION SOUP 
2 med. onions
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
4 c. water
4 bouillon cubes or beef broth
Salt & pepper to taste

Slice onion very thinly. Heat butter and cook onions in it. Being careful not to brown them. When onions are soft, add flour and cook 1 minute. Then add 4 cups water with bouillon cubes, add salt and pepper. Simmer 30 minutes.

TOPPING: Italian bread, toasted and 2 slices Swiss cheese. Broil few minutes to brown cheese.
