MOM'S CHERRY BREAD 
1/2 lb. butter
1 lg. c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, optional
6-8 oz. cherries (candied)

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Sift flour and baking powder. Add alternate in (1) flour, (2) fruit, (3) one egg. Repeat ending with an egg. Grease loaf or bundt pan well. Bake for 1 hour until done at 350 degrees.
