1 pt. warm milk 3 pkg. dry yeast 1/4 c. melted butter 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 qt. flour (4 c.) 1/2 tbsp. salt Warm milk (don't get too hot, it ruins the yeast). Pour in yeast and dissolve. Mix dry ingredients. Grease LARGE bowl that has a lid to cover with. Mix remaining butter, milk, and dry ingredients and set in warm place to raise (approximately 45 minutes). When dough is 3/4th the size, roll out and cut place on cookie sheet and let raise again for 15 minutes. Cook at 350 degrees until brown. Butter the top before cooking if you want them real brown. |
