MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
2 c. cornmeal
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. cream style corn
2 eggs
1 jalapeno pepper (optional)
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. sugar
1 lb. hamburger meat, browned and drained
1 1/2 c. shredded cheese

Mix all ingredients together except cheese and hamburger meat. Pour into greased pan 1/2 batter. Cover with hamburger. Top with cheese. Pour the remaining half of the batter. Cook 400 to 450 degrees until done.
