BUTTERSCOTCH BANANAS 
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. rum
1/4 c. butter
2 lg. ripe firm bananas

In 1 1/2 quart casserole stir together brown sugar and rum. Add butter. Cover. Microwave at high 4-5 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes until sugar dissolves. Cut bananas lengthwise. Then crosswise until there are 8 pieces. Add to syrup, stirring to coat each piece. Microwave at high 1-2 minutes until hot. Serve over ice cream. Makes 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
