BUTTERSCOTCH BROWN BUTTER
COOKIES
 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. nuts, chopped

Mix all ingredients as given. Drop by teaspoonfuls on sheet. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees. 6 dozen. Frost.

BROWN BUTTER FROSTING:

2 tbsp. butter, browned
4 tbsp. butter, soft
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well. Add a little more water, if too thick.
