CARAMEL BROWNIES 
1 c. sifted plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 stick butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla to melted butter. Blend in dry ingredients. Mix with nuts. Spread thin and evenly in a well-greased and floured pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Cool and then cut into squares.
