BANANA PUDDING 
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 pt. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter

Heat the milk and add the sliced bananas. Sift together the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in some of the hot milk to make a smooth paste, the stir the paste into the rest of the milk. Cook over a low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Finally, blend in the vanilla and butter. Pour into 4 dessert glasses and chill before serving.
