EASY REFRIGERATOR YEAST ROLLS | |
2 pkgs. yeast 2 c. very warm water 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 3 tsp. salt 1/4 c. shortening or butter 6 1/2 - 7 c. flour Mix yeast, sugar and water together. Add shortening, egg and salt; mix well. Slowly add flour, small amounts at a time, until not sticky to touch. Knead well and leave rise for 1 hour. (May store in the refrigerator up to one week or use immediately.) Roll out 3 small balls and put in muffin tins. Let rise for about an hour in a warm place. (Cover with a towel.) Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, or until brown. |
