FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 baked 9 inch pie crust
2 med. bananas
1 qt. strawberries, washed, hulled and dried
1 env. Dream Whip, made according to directions

SAUCE:

1 1/2 c. cold water
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 box (3 oz.) strawberry or strawberry banana Jello

Line baked pie crust with sliced bananas. Place whole berries on top of bananas as high as you like, leaving room for Dream Whip topping.

Make sauce by combining cold water, sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Mix with spoon until all ingredients are blended. Cook over medium heat until thick. Take off of burner and add the 3 ounce box of Jello. Stir until Jello is dissolved. Place pie on cookie sheet on a small rack, then pour hot sauce over berries. Cool for 2 hours. Sauce should set in that time. Top with prepared Dream Whip. Refrigerate to keep fresh.
