BRAZILLIAN SQUASH | |
2 c. mashed cooked Hubbard or Butternut squash 1 tsp. salt Few grains pepper 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. heavy cream 1 tbsp. butter 2 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar 1/3 c. chopped Brazil nuts 1/8 tsp. cinnamon Combine squash, salt, pepper, sugar and cream. Put in a greased baking dish. Melt together butter and brown sugar. Add cinnamon and nutmeats. Cook slowly until nuts are coated, stirring constantly. Sprinkle on squash. Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes. |
