BROCCOLI SALAD 
1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and cut
1 head broccoli
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. salad dressing (lite can be used)
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vinegar

Cut up broccoli using part of stem into bite-size pieces. Shred cheese. Mix salad dressing, sugar, and vinegar until it forms a paste (optional: add a little milk to thin). Add bacon and cheese to dressing - mix with broccoli. Let set for few hours or overnight in refrigerator. Double recipe for larger group.
