RUTH'S DATE NUT REFRIGERATOR COOKIES | |
2 sticks butter, soft 2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 3 c. flour 1 1/2 c. dates, chopped 3/4 c. walnuts, chopped fine Beat butter and brown sugar together. Add vanilla. Beat eggs and soda together until soda is dissolved and add to sugar mixture. Add flour and stir well. Add dates and nuts, kneading well. Form into rolls. Wrap and put in the refrigerator several hours or overnight. Slice and bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Cookies will be soft but get firm when cool. |
