EASY CREAM CHEESE FROSTING 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter, softened
2 to 3 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup Cool whip

Cream butter and cream cheese together until well blended with hand mixer, add vanilla mix well.

Add sifted confectioners' sugar slowly 1 cup at a time (more or less depending on your taste).

Add Cool Whip until blended.

Note: This is a small batch since I only typically make a dozen cupcakes at a time. If you are frosting a two layer cake then I recommend doubling the recipe!
