SOUR CREAM ROUND CAKE 
3 c. sifted cake flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
2 3/4 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 c. sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven at 325 degrees. Mix 1 cup flour and soda together; set aside. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar and continue creaming until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in sour cream and vanilla. Blend in remaining flour, one cup at a time. Then add flour, soda mixture. Pour into 10 inch tube pan, grease and floured on bottom. Bake until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean, about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Let cake cool on wire rack. Makes 1 (10 inch) tube cake.

ICING:

1 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice. Spread on cake while warm.
