JULIE'S HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
1 to 2 lb. ground beef
about 10 red potatoes
1 (15 oz.) can green beans, drained (I use Del Monte)
shortening (enough to almost cover potatoes)
salt and pepper, to taste

Peel potatoes and cut into quarters. Slice each quarter potato (not too thick slices).

Using two separate skillets, fry potatoes in covered skillet using shortening until tender. Fry hamburger meat in uncovered skillet, stirring to keep meat small and crumbly (not clumpy).

Drain shortening from potatoes. Drain grease drippings from hamburger. Mix together potatoes and hamburger.

Drain liquid from green beans (the cut green beans are best). Mix in with hamburger and potatoes. Keep heat on low just long enough that green beans get good and warm. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Total cook time is about 20 to 30 minutes. Enjoy!
