OATMEAL ROCKS 
1 c. seedless raisins, cooked in a little water for 10 minutes
1 c. shortening (1/2 butter and 1/2 Crisco)
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. hot raisin juice plus 1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Add raisins (drained at the last). Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until nicely browned.
