GRANDMA EVANS SAND TARTS 
2 c. shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
White of 1 egg
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cinnamon sugar
4 c. flour
Pecans

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and flour. Chill overnight. Roll thin, cut into diamond shape and spread on egg white. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Place 1/2 pecan in middle of each. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet.
