1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. melted butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
2 c. flour, sifted

Mix all ingredients together. Chill 30 minutes. Flour smooth surface lightly and roll out mixture as thin as possible. Cut out with cookie cutters. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Brush center of cookie with a mixture of beaten egg. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, sprinkles, or cinnamon/sugar mixture and bake for approximately 10 minutes at 375 degrees (until lightly browned).
