SAND TARTS 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. powdered sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, vanilla and nuts. Form mixture into small fingers. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Roll fingers in additional powdered sugar while still warm.
